This is to revise and replace ATC 1650-B, dated 03-May-2016. This revision is to:
1 Update SRTs.
If additional information is required, contact your Cummins Warranty Operations Group Leader.
DESCRIPTION:
This ATC is being issued to address EPA 2013 ISL and ISX CM2350 units that may experience a cracked SCR outlet
NOx sensor due to liquid impingement. The implementation of this ATC will correct the issue of liquid impingement by
applying a water shield with putty over the SCR outlet NOx sensor.
ACTION:
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1 will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and
2 must be on the attached ESN list.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:

1 Please refer to Procedure 011-036 for Aftertreatment Selective Catalytic Reduction Catalyst removal and
installation.
2 Please refer to Procedure 019-451 for Aftertreatment outlet NOx sensor removal and installation.
3 Please refer to Installation Instruction 4908441 for Aftertreatment Outlet Nox Sensor Bolt-In Shield.
MATERIAL DISPOSITION:
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be scrapped.

NOTE: Please note that the NOX Shield Template, Part Number 4353074, is not listed, nor is it claimable. It is
included with the Drip Shield package. As an alternative, please refer to Attachment B (Template drawing) and
Attachment C (Printing Instructions). The Template can be reproduced by following the printing instructions as detailed
in Attachment C. Care must be taken before using the Template. Drilling locations and distances MUST be confirmed
prior to drilling. Please refer to the specifications listed on the drawing, Attachment B.
