SAFETY RECALL INFORMATION:
(May 2016)
Some MACK GU trucks may experience an imbalance between the steer axle brakes
and drive axle brakes. This condition may cause blown tires, and overheating of the
front and/or rear brakes. Replacement of the front or rear brake chambers with the
upgraded brake chambers listed in this recall will correct this condition. Follow the
replacement procedures outlined in this Safety Recall.
MACK Trucks has received no reports of personal injury as a result of this condition.
Therefore, MACK considers this as a proactive measure to protect the public and
MACK’s customers from the potential risk associated with this defect.
VEHICLES AFFECTED:
Certain 2010 - 2015 MACK GU 4 X 2 model trucks manufactured from September 17,
2009 through July 31, 2015.
VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS (VIN):
The number of vehicles affected by this recall is 711 (679 USA, 1 Canada, and 31
Export).
