DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop engine. In the battery box, set the battery cut-off switch
to the OFF position prior to working on the vehicle.
1)
To correct the J-1939 CAN2 and Nox sensor faults that have been intermittently logging, a
dedicated CAN harness cable (twisted wires) will run from connector C26 near the ACM in the
condenser compartment to the splice bar connector S-bar 1 at the rear of the bus (refer to the
partial view of the wiring diagram below for a representation of the installation).
We eliminate three connectors that were in the original harness and any associated resistance
and voltage drops across the connectors.

Route the cable from C26 through the fuel
tank area.

Enter the PVC conduit at the fuel tank
compartment.

the engine compartment.

Finish by routing the cable up to the aftertreatment compartment and secure the entire
cable.
Installing the new CAN H and CAN L wires into the C26 connector near the ACM and securing
the old CAN wires and harness in the condenser compartment.

Disassemble connector C26.
7)
Remove CAN H and CAN L terminal pins and
wires from cavities 21 & 22. Install terminals
on new wires, to do so, strip the wires, crimp
on terminals 562275 (2x) and twist wires
before inserting terminal pins in the connector
plug.

Install new overlay cable harness CAN H
and CAN L wire pins into cavities 21 and 22.

Reassemble and secure connector C26.
Installing the new harness CAN H and CAN L wires into the S-Bar 1 connector, removing and
securing the existing CAN H and L wires.

Disassemble S-Bar 1 connector and remove
CAN H and CAN L wire pins from cavities A
and D.
11)
Install new overlay cable harness CAN H and
CAN L wire pins into cavities A and D.
Strip the wires, crimp on terminals 564136
and twist wires before inserting terminal pins
in the connector plug.

Set the battery master switch to the ON position, start the engine, check for and clear any
diagnostic troubleshooting codes.
