On the vehicles affected by this bulletin, inspect the rear junction box connections; clean terminals and
apply black Color Guard or Termin8R lubricant following the procedure below.

PROCEDURE
DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop engine. In the battery box, set the battery cut-off switch
to the OFF position prior to working on the vehicle.

Open the battery compartment, disconnect and remove the batteries (negative terminals first).
2)
Open the vertical junction box compartment and locate the connector at the back of the different
relays and modules.
3)
Disconnect all the plugs and lightly spray them with Termin8R lubricant as shown in the pictures
below.
WARNING
Only use light application of Termin8R on the connectors and let the product drip-off. Too
much application of the product can prevent electrical contact to the modules.

All the screw type connections in the following images must be first cleaned with CRC LectraMotive Electrical Part Cleaner and cleaning brushes. Let the cleaner dries and then apply 2
coats of black Color Guard (wait 20 to 30 min. between each coat) on all connections.
NOTE
If the terminals are showing heavy signs of
corrosion they must be disassembled before being
cleaned.
Clean both side of the terminals, also clean studs
threads and hex nuts. Ensure that all traces of
oxidation in the surrounding area are removed
before reinstallation.
