Proper Removal of Engine Cover to Avoid Breakage

Technical Background
Pulling on the engine cover in some areas can cause damage.

Service
Care should be taken when removing the engine cover for service. During periods of cold weather, if possible,
allow the material to warm indoors prior to removal.
When removing the cover, lift from the corners in sequence as illustrated (figure 1), placing your fingers
underneath the cover, around the mount, to support the cover as you lift upwards.
