Issue:
A potential concern has been identified with the accelerator pedal on a small number of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles
which may result in the vehicle entering restricted performance mode.
Cause:
The accelerator pedal switch printed circuit board may not have been correctly soldered leading to an intermittent connection.
Action:
In conjunction with Q442 please check the serial number of the accelerator pedal in the vehicle to see if it matches a serial number listed
in the attached files. If you find a pedal serial number which matches one listed in the attached files then please replace the accelerator
pedal. If the accelerator pedal serial number does not match a serial number listed in the attached files then the vehicle can be released.
NOTE – there are three files attached, one for LHD (left hand drive) vehicles, one for RHD (right hand drive) vehicles and one
file showing a clear picture of where the relevant serial numbers are located on the label attached to the accelerator pedal.
