Condition
One of the TopView cameras will not calibrate.
Tip: For issues with the Front TopView camera image being upside down after replacing J928, please
reference TSB 2035912, 91 Front TopView camera cannot be calibrated; picture appears upside down.

Technical Background
Improper setup of the calibration board and/or camera.

Production Solution
Not applicable.

Service
Several factors may be involved in preventing the camera from calibrating:
• Calibration board incorrectly set up
Ensure the VAS 6350 and VAS 6350/6 are set up and aligned exactly in accordance with repair manual
instructions.
• Insufficient lighting
View the calibration board through the MMI display. If there are any reflections or shadows on the plates, then
calibration can fail due to lighting conditions. Change the lighting or vehicle position to eliminate the reflections
and shadows.
• Camera picture fuzzy/distorted
View the calibration board through the MMI display. If the image is fuzzy or distorted in any way, ensure the
camera lens is clear and free of any spots/debris. Clean the camera lens with a damp cloth.
• Camera picture crooked (front camera only)
Ensure the camera is mounted correctly. If the mounting is correct, reset the calibration values through Guided
Functions 6C – environment camera, delete all calibration values.
Tip: After this test plan is performed, calibration must be done again for all 4 cameras.
