Technical Background
Improper operation of the fresh air blower could be caused by one or both of the following root causes:
• A faulty printed circuit board in the fresh air blower control module, J126.
• The carbon brushes bind in the brush holder and, as a consequence, lose contact with the motor commutator
of the fresh air blower, -V2-.

Production Solution
• Improved fresh air blower control module, J126.
• Improved brush assembly has been implemented in production.

Service
If either of the following DTCs are present, replace the fresh air blower control module, J126:
• DTC 01844 004
• DTC 01844 014
-ORIf either of the following DTCs are present, replace the fresh air blower, -V2-:
• DTC 01273 009
• DTC 01273 006
If DTCs for both the J126 as well as the V2 are present, replace both the fresh air blower control module, J126
and the fresh air blower, -V2-.
