Part Description : HFM , iPAD and iPhone4 Compatibility
Issue Issue 1:Description: For 2012MY only - There have been a few cases for Uconnect System playing
prompts without a Phone or VR button press and loops 2 to 3 times before exiting.
There will be a TSB software flash available in August 2012 . In the interim , the only
fix is an HFM replacement. Please replace the HFM module only if the customer
describes this condition or it is experienced by the dealer. if you have any questions

within 15 minutes, please continue with the repair.-

Issue 2:Users of iPhone3 and iPhone4 (who recently updated their iPhone software to 4.2.10
or 4.3.5) may experience problems playing music through a wired connection with
UConnect. Customer will experience a 1) "Error Occurred" message on radio or 2)
"Reading" message that stays for a long duration on radio screen . In event customer
has iphone3 or iphone4 with aforementioned software AND is experiencing these
issues, DO NOT REPLACE the HFM (Hands Free Module).PLEASE ADVISE THE CUSTOMER OF the following :Short-term solutions:1) To recover from this state, disconnect and reconnect white ipod cable (may
require 2-3 times) and system will begin to READ and play music through UConnect
OR2) Customer ensures iPhone is turned ON before plugging in device.Long-term solution :Apple and Chrysler are working on a software update. Please check back with the
Chrysler UConnect Website in the future for software update availability.Issue 3:Using voice recogn ition , radio may tune to the wrong station due to recent
rearrangement of Sirius channels. Reflash the unit as outlined in TSB 08-023-11. Issue 4:Hands Free Module displaying "Uconnect not Available" or loss of HFM function on
RSP vehicles without an RER radio . Reflash HFM as outlined in RRT 11-034:Issue 5:A) Message "connecting to device" displayed on Apple iTouch , iPod , iPhone when
connected to non-radio USB port; B) iPhone 4 Bluetooth Streaming audio plays fast
or sounds choppy during a streaming audio session ; C) Dropped Bluetooth
Connection - Reflash the HFM to the latest software level per TSB 08-036-11 .Issue 6:Apple iPad not compatible with UConnect, 2008-2011 all vehiclesA phone must also be paired to system for iPad to stream Bluetooth audio properly.

Additionally, to access iPad, it must be manually selected in Media Menu AUX tab
