Driver and front passenger seats make cracking noise when cornering .
Cause:
Play in cush ion shell bearing on door side.
Remedy:
1. Remove driver seat.

2. Remove driver seat cushion.
Model 220.0/1 up to 31 .08.02 AR91 .10-P- 1070M

3. Press bushings (3) out of seat cushion guide (4) in direction of arrow.
Note: Only the bushings on the rocker panel side should be replaced.
4. Press out bearing bushings (on tunnel side) .
Note: The bearing bushings on the tunnel side must not be replaced.
5. Grease bearing bushings (on tunnel side) and push in until they are behind the plastic lugs.
Note: Grease the contact surfaces on the bearing bushings with multipurpose grease for metal (A 002 989 07 51).
Note: The plastic lugs must not be damaged when pushing in the bearing bushings.
6. Push in bushings (3) until they are behind the plastic lugs (6).
Note: The replacement part bearing bushing (3) is primed black.
Note: Grease the contact surfaces on the bearing bushings with multipurpose grease for metal (A 002 989 07 51 ).
Note: The plastic lugs must not be damaged when pushing in the bearing bushings.
7. Install driver seat cushion.

8. Install driver seat.
