Complaint:

Knocking noise when sitting, which can also be reproduced by firmly pulling the backrest backwards.

Cause:

Play in height adjustment gearing.

Remedy:

Model series 204.3, 207, 212 and 218:

- Adjust seat upwards, but not all the way to the top in order to avoid stresses.

- Remove seat cushion as per work instructions.

- Unscrew and remove mounting bolt of height adjustment gearing (see PIC1 and PIC2).

- Coat face of pinion {PIC3) with grease A0029890751.

- Fit shim and bolt from seat adjuster parts kit (PIC4) and lubricate contact surfaces with grease A0029890751.

-Align the shim so that it lies fiat and so that its edge rests on the kidney-shaped part (PIC5).

- Tighten bolt to 4 Nm (+1 ).

- Move height adjustment across the entire range and check for proper operation and noise.

- Reinstall seat cushion as per work instructions.

Model series 204.0, 204.2, 204.9:

- Remove seat adjuster as per AR91.1 O-P-1450cw

- Remove rear seat height adjustment motor

Note: There is no specific assembly position to be observed

- Install new motor using the new mounting bolts included

Note: Observe tightening torque of 9 Nm (+/-1.5) for all bolts
