Incorrectly Wired Auxiliary Input Jack

CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation: When attempting to use an MP3 player through the Auxiliary (Aux) input jack, there may be no audio
from right-hand-side speakers.
Cause: This may be caused by an incorrectly wired connector C32-M.
Action: In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the floor console (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-12: Instrument Panel and Console - Floor
Console).

NOTE: Components removed for clarity.
Access connector C32–M (connection between user
interface panel and Aux).

NOTE: In-vehicle condition – INCORRECT
(Blue (BU) in cavity 3; Yellow (YE) in cavity
4).
Using suitable pin out tool, change the pin location
of the Blue (BU) and Yellow (YE) wires:
1. Yellow wire (YE) to cavity 3.
2. Blue wire (BU) to cavity 4.

4. Harness with wires in the correct condition.
1. Blue wire (BU) in cavity 4.
2. Yellow wire (YE) in cavity 3.
3. Connector C32–M harness.

5. Install the floor console (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-12: Instrument Panel and Console - Floor
Console).
6. Check the operation of the 'Aux' input jack through the audio left-hand-side and right-hand-side speakers for
correct operation.
