Reason for block
Complaint:

The soft top does not open/close correctly. The tension of the soft top at the peak of the roof may be too low when the

roof is closed.
Cause:

Roof bow spring at roof peak of soft top is damaged/broken .

The tip of the spring remains in the soft top support and ca nnot be removed.
Remedy :

E..filill..J:lrofile with damaged fabric:

If the soft top is already damaged by the defective roof bow spring, then the soft top must be replaced .

Fault profile without damage to soft top:

If the fabric of the soft top is not damaged and a part of the broken roof bow spring is stuck in th e bearing at the roof

peak, then please perform the following steps:

- Open soft top, pull roof peak out of roof cassette and fold towards the back.

- Drill out hole/bearing of roof bow spring to approx. 3 mm using a cordless screwdriver (Figure 1 and Figure 2).

- The locked spring fragment can now be removed with a suitable tool (e.g. mandrel, Figure 2). The spring lock must

be pressed down wi th a tool from above through the square hole.
