Introduction
Some 2010-2012 model year RX 350 and RX 450h vehicles may exhibit a squeak coming from the

rear of the vehicle when going over an uneven road surface. In addition, some vehicles may also

display evidence of an oil leak from the rear shock absorber(s). Use the following repair procedure

to address these cond itions.

This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months

1. Confirm the rear shock absorber(s) are leaking oil and/or squeaking when going over bumps.

NOTE

Verify the oil leak falls within the range of Level 1 - 3 and calls for part replacement.

3. Replace rear shock absorber.
