Certain Early 2013 Model Year Scion FR-S Vehicles

This information is provided for reference only; there is no action necessary by regions or dealers.
In mid-December 2012 , Scion will be mailing an update to the Owner's Manual for certain 2013 Model Year
Scion FRS vehicles. A sample of the owner's manual update has been provided below for your reference.

Do not tow your vehicle with lour wheels on the ground.

The Scion FRS is not designed to be dinghy towed with all four wheels on the ground behind a
vehicle. Doing so may cause serious damage to the vehicle.
1. Dealer Letter Mailing Date
The attached Dealer Letter will be sent to all Toyota dealers in mid-December, 2012 to advise
dealers of this owner mailing . However there is no action necessary by dealerships.
2. Owner Letter Mailing Date
The attached Owner Letter will be mailed by first class mail in mid-December, 2012 . Approximately
2,400 Owner's Manual Update notices will be sent.
Please review this notification with your staff to assure that all relevant personnel have been briefed
regarding this subject.
