SUBJECT: VELOSTER WASHER FLUID LEVEL SENSOR REPLACEMENT
(SERVICE CAMPAIGN TR6)

Dealers must perform this Service Campaign on all affected vehicles prior to customer retail
delivery and whenever an affected vehicle is in the shop for any maintenance or repair.

When a vehicle arrives at the Service Department, access Hyundai Motor America’s “Warranty
Vehicle Information” screen via WEBDCS to identify open Campaigns.

DESCRIPTION: On some Veloster vehicles, the washer warning signal may illuminate even though the
washer fluid level is full. This bulletin provides the procedure to replace the washer fluid sensor.

Applicable Vehicles: Veloster (FS) produced from 3/18/2013 — 5/22/2013

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

1. Remove the front right side wheel guard
mounting clip (A).

2. Pull down the wheel guard (B) and check the
sensor position.

3. Disconnect the washer fluild level sensor
connector (C).

4. Rotate the washer fluid level sensor (D) 90°
counterclockwise.

5. Remove the washer fluid level sensor (D) by
pulling it down in the arrow direction.

6. Discard the removed washer fluid level
sensor (D).

7. Remove the plastic cover and install the new
washer fluid level sensor (E) with part
number 98520-2V000-QQH.

8. Reinstall all the removed parts in reverse
order.
