WF69 - Replacing Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valves (Workshop Campaign)

Information:

This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a
possibility that positive crankcase ventilation valves that have a burr on their covers due to the
use of an incorrect tool were installed on the affected vehicles.
This can cause the bleeder valve diaphragm to tear.
If the diaphragm is torn, this can result in an implausible mass air flow at idle speed, resulting in noises
from the engine compartment and activation of the Check Engine light.

Required:

Replace positive crankcase ventilation valves.

vehicle. This campaign is scope specific to the VIN! Failure to verify in PIWIS may result in an improper
repair.

Two different O-rings are fitted for each positive crankcase ventilation valve.
When installing the new positive crankcase ventilation valves, always check the correct installation
position of the O-rings  Positive crankcase ventilation valve -2 and 3-.

Labor, parts, and sublet will be automatically inserted when Technician is selected in WWS/PQIS. If
necessary, the required part numbers will need to be manually entered into warranty system by the dealer
administrator.
