Change to Single Component Windshield Bonding System
The bonding set with part number A 221 670 81 01 is a simple and easy application, and it is the
only officially approved product for bonding Mercedes-Benz
car windows.
Currently, the bonding set consists of the glue sealing compound, cleaner, primer, nozzle
attachment, cleaning cloth, operator's manual, information manual, spacer and cartridge opener.
It has been determined that the spacers and cartridge opener included in the package contents
are generally not used and simply thrown away. Consequently, the supply for the bonding set has
been changed. The Mercedes-Benz bonding set A 221 670 81 01 will now be offered without the
spacers and cartridge opener.
Both the spacers and the cartridge opener can no longer be ordered separately, and they have
been completely removed from .the product range.
If, the previously supplied spacers, have actually been used, then the spacers listed in the table
are to be used in future. The spacers listed in the table cover all the common models. Additional
spacers are also available, but they are not listed here. This could be because of low volume,
replacement or relaunch. They can be determined in the EPC by selecting the corresponding
window.
This bulletin has been created and maintained in accordance with MBUSA-SLP S423QH001, Document and Data Control, and
MBUSA-SLP S424HH001, Control of Records.
