Description
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is aware that some 215/45R17 87V Assurance Fuel Max tires may
exhibit a sidewall cracking condition. These cracks do not affect the structural support of the tire, but they
may present an appearance issue for the customer. In the interest of customer satisfaction, Goodyear has
decided to replace qualifying tires. The description of the tires and affected DOT range are as follows:

Actions Dealer Should Take
Very few of these tires were purchased by GM Dealers. However, if you are receiving this bulletin, it has been
determined that you have purchased at least one of these tires between April 1, 2011 and January 22, 2014.
The attached file indicates how many tires you purchased. We ask that you check your inventory for this tire,
and if any fall into the affected DOT Range, please remove them from your inventory. Also, please research
who you may have sold the tires to and contact those customers. Ask them to come back to your dealership
where you will provide a free inspection to find out if their tires fall in the affected DOT range. Goodyear will
reimburse you for this free inspection.

Additional Information
Attached is Goodyear Product Service Bulletin PSB #2014-02 that has all the specific details on how to
recognize a satisfaction campaign tire, how to replace the customer's tire, return of tires, and reimbursement..
The Goodyear Dealer Letter is being sent to all authorized Goodyear Dealers. As a GM Dealer, you are an
authorized Goodyear Dealer. The Goodyear Dealer Letter is written in a manner and uses terminology that is
more familiar to an Independent Goodyear Tire Distributor/Dealer. If you determine that you have the affected
tires in stock or on your customer's vehicle, please call the GM Tire Program at 877-728-4737, and they will
help you work through the process outlined in the Goodyear Dealer Letter.
