Glider chassis were built with the incorrect Bendix ABS-8 ECU installed instead of the correct ABS-6 unit.
Chassis Affected
159 Kenworth gliders (158 U.S., 1 Canadian) built between 10/06/2014 – 11/25/2014.
Action
CAMPAIGN
Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their chassis is on the list. This campaign can be
performed at any time convenient for the customer (for example: during next scheduled maintenance interval). Use the attached procedure. Review the
DWWC or SIR for “Complete” next to the “13-41” campaign code prior to performing this repair.
NOTE: Some chassis affected are so new that Kenworth may not have customers’ names and addresses registered. Please contact your customers or
check your lot for these chassis.

Warranty
For repairs completed by 06/01/2015 Kenworth will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and labor:
0.75 hours labor to R&R the ABS ECU and ship it to Bendix per the shipping instructions below. (Use Quick Claim Code 13-41A or 13-41B
depending on part number used. See the Parts section for claim codes)
File an additional claim for extraordinary circumstances. A quick claim for standard labor must be filed first.

The ABS-8 ECUs should be returned in the same boxes that the new ABS-6 ECUs were delivered in. Each ECU should be separated and wrapped or
boxed like the ABS-6 units to ensure that they are not damaged or scratched.
Mark the outside of boxes with: “Glider ECUs”
NOTE: Be EXTREMELY careful when handling the ECUs. The returned ABS-8 ECUs will be reused by Bendix. If they are received with any scratches,
dents or visible damage, that unit will be scrapped. DO NOT return a damaged ECU.

3. Return the undamaged ABS-8 module to Bendix (see Warranty section, above).
