SITUATION

The engine malfunction warning is illuminated and the following fault code is stored in the DME memory:
z

FC 190302 Fuel tank ventilation and purge air system micro leak leakage greater than 0_5 mm

CAUSE

Contamination of the NVLD pressure switch electrical contacts
PROCEDURE

1. Remove and inspect the part number on the NVLD pressure switch per Repair Instruction 16 13 521,
“Removing and installing/replacing pressure switch for Natural Vacuum Leak Detection (NVLD).”
2. Inspect the part number of the NVLD pressure switch. If the pressure switch is not one of the following,
replace the pressure switch with one of the part numbers listed below.

Note: The current version of ETK for F06, F07, F10, F12 and F13 models does not show the correct
supersession from the current pressure switch P/N 16 13 7 274 147 to the new pressure switch P/N 16 13 7
333 301.
Do not use P/N 16 13 7 274 147 for this complaint.
3. If the vehicle has the correct pressure switch listed above, the vehicle may have a leakage in the system.
Perform all diagnostic checks that are recommended by the applicable test plans for the faults stored.

Labor operation code 00 00 006 is a Main labor operation. If you are using a Main labor code for another repair,
use the Plus code labor operation 00 00 556 instead.
Refer to KSD2 for the corresponding flat rate unit (FRU) allowance. Enter the Chassis Number, which consists of
the last 7 digits of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Click on the “Search” button, and then enter the
applicable flat rate labor operation in the FR code field.
