This TRP is being issued to grant approval to replace an engine that presents with the below
symptoms and meets all listed criteria.

will be covered In the Base Engine Warranty period, and
must be on the attached ESN list, and
must have presented with a FC2322, and
the cylinder block in the area of the number #1 cam bushing must show signs of
heat/discolored paint.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1. Create a Replacement Engine Request (RER).
2. Contact Cummins Heavy Duty Service Engineering Robert Saxman (Primary) 716-4562238 or Justinian Engels (Secondary) 716-456-2540.
3. Contact RAPIDSERVE™ Catastrophic for pre-authorization.
4. Remove the failed engine using Procedure 007-013 (Bulletin 2883445).
Material Disposition
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be sent to ReCon®.
