Service all chassis affected that enter your dealership, even if the customer has no issue with the chassis. Use the procedure below. Review DWWC/SIR
to verify that campaign “E095” is still open prior to performing this update.
NOTE: A number of MX campaign bulletins have been published and a chassis may be subject to more than this campaign. Review campaign codes in
DWWC/SIR to ensure all applicable repairs are completed while the chassis is at your dealership for service.

There is no time or mileage limit for this campaign, though the repair instructions may be superseded by future engine software enhancement bulletins.

Background
E081 is still ON HOLD because it causes frequent stationary aftertreatment regeneration. There are 2 root causes for this: 1) no mobile regeneration and
2) ash-load compensation reset.
1) No Mobile Regeneration
E095 corrects the frequent stationary aftertreatment regeneration condition on those chassis that have had E081 performed. The RC8/RC17
software is not the cause but rather an incorrect PEP parameter which results in no mobile regeneration. As soot continues to build, it forces the
driver to pull over and perform a stationary regeneration. The PEP parameter is now correct.
2) Ash-Load Compensation Reset
PACCAR
is still working on a solution to address ash load compensation (as described in E081). A different bulletin will announce when a solution
is ready for the remaining E081 chassis that HAVE NOT had E081 performed.

Make sure DAVIE4 is at the latest version by referencing ePortal.
Open DAVIE4 and identify the vehicle.
Click the Software button under the Vehicle Update heading.
Highlight PMCI-2, EAS-3, and DCU then select retrieve software.
After the software has downloaded, click the PMCI-2 to highlight it and click update in the lower right.
Once the PMCI-2 is done programing repeat step 5 for the EAS-3 then DCU.
NOTE: The Engine Support Center has already updated the E095 software via PEP so it’s not necessary to go through the E086 ‘15 Minute Wait’
process.
NOTE: When completing any software update DO NOT update the EAS software unless DAVIE4 indicates an update is available. By not updating the
EAS software the ash-load compensation is not reset, which will prevent frequent regeneration. Be prepared that if DAVIE4 indicates software is available
for the EAS controller, it may be necessary to perform a thorough DPF cleaning.
NOTE: DAVIE4 will not indicate a software update is available on the PCI if the component groups are current. Update the PCI even if DAVIE4 indicates
the calibration is current.
