Condition
Symptoms may include dash lights (CEL and/or MIL) with logged Fault Codes 3375 and/or 3376 which could be present for frequent
and incomplete regenerations. Left untreated this could lead to a 25% derate.
Chassis Affected
3,939 chassis built between 10/21/2013 - 12/11/2013 at the Chillicothe and Ste. Therese plants. No Renton or KenMex
chassis. Cummins engines only. Not PACCAR MX-13 engines (See Background section below for explanation). See the attached
chassis list, Dealer / chassis list and customer letter.
The DWC and SIR online systems indicate chassis involved in this campaign with the designator of “43-35” in the campaign field.

Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their chassis is on the list. Service
all chassis affected that enter your dealership, even if the customer has no issue with the chassis. This campaign can be performed at
any time convenient for the customer, for example: during next scheduled maintenance interval. Use the attached procedure. Review
the DWC or SIR online systems for “Complete” next to the “43-35” campaign code prior to performing this repair.
Warranty
Through Standard Warranty (excludes Extended Warranty) or for repairs completed by 12/31/2014, whichever is greater, Kenworth will
pay for parts at dealer net, plus applicable mark-up and labor. File the appropriate Quick Claim or long claim form, if required.
Kenworth will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and:
0.5 hours labor to inspect and determine repair is not required (Use Quick Claim Code 43-35A).
0.8 hours labor to inspect and repair. (Use Quick Claim Code 43-35B).
File a long claim for extraordinary circumstances (which must be explained).

Parts
No parts required; however, Tyco pin extraction tool p/n 1-1579007-1 is required for the repair. This tool can be purchased from PPD
or go to TE.com for a list of suppliers. It was included in the Crimper Kit P/N 2217300-1 which your dealership should have.
Background
Although the PACCAR MX-13 engine does use the P92-8255 harness, the MX does not experience this failure mode because the
aftertreatment control module (ACM) is wired directly to the DEF tank module. This means that the swapped wires have no affect on
an MX.
On a Cummins, the swapped wires cause the 12V ground to be shared with the 5V ground. At temperatures below 40⁰ F the DEF tank
heater activates and causes the 5V reference ground to be high. This causes the output of the Delta P sensors to be high which
means “high pressure”.
