Dear Service Manager:

This letter is to inform you of a possible issue with a small number [less than 25] left-side Valet Plus units (VSS2600) sold between March 29th and May 15th 2013. The units in question were welded by the supplier outside of
the normal welding process. There is a possibility that a weld could have been missing. These units were
identified by serial numbers in that time frame’s controlled batch that may have shipped to the field. This bulletin
is a Priority 1 since the Seat Pan is part of the anchoring structure for the seat belt. In the interest of minimizing
the inconvenience to your customer, we ask that you inspect the units in question as soon as possible but
definitely within the next 2 weeks. This inspection can be done at any site by extending the unit partially out of
the vehicle. Only a flashlight is needed. If the weld is missing, a Service kit (SRV-2600-004) has been created for
this possible repair. If the weld is there, no additional work is necessary.
Inform the customer NOT to use their seat until it has been inspected and if needed, repaired. If the inspected
VSS-2600 is found to be missing these seat pan welds, Contact Bruno and the replacement seat pan with the
provided parts will be Air Shipped. If the inspection shows the welds in place, fill out the information below and
return the paperwork to Bruno. To compensate you for this claim, Bruno will reimburse you $50 for labor for
inspecting this product [if you need to travel to the customer’s home to inspect we will reimburse you an
additional $50 trip fee]. If the unit requires replacing, Bruno will cover an additional $50 for labor for the
replacement as well as provide the parts.

DEALER ACTION REQUIRED
*Perform this test with an unoccupied Valet Plus unit!
1) Inspect the Valet Plus seat pan areas noted for welds.
2) If any welds are missing, Contact Bruno to have replacement seat pan kit (SRV-2600-004) air shipped.
3) Replace seat Pan per instructions included with the parts shipment
3) To receive reimbursement for your labor claims, Bruno will need you to return this documentation.
