Title : SPN 629 FMI 0 - ECM CPU Load Fault after Calibration Update
Applies To : 2013 Maxxforce DT/9/10 Engine Serial Number 3500000 and
up
DESCRIPTION
After Calibration update DTC SPN 629 FMI 0 -ECM CPU Load (>98%) may be set during a
self test or normal vehicle operation. There is no adverse affect to the vehicle/engine and the
vehicle's MIL light will not illuminate due to this code. If units are brought into the dealer for this
fault, please clear it, update the calibration (P___EER1) via NETs, AutoUpgrade or
PocketMaxx and return the unit to the customer. The fault is addressed in this calibration
released (1/2014).
REPAIR PROCEDURE
The current 2013 OBD MaxxForce DT, 9 & 10 calibration is P___EER1 (please note chart
below). If the Service Portal - Vehicle Information - Calibration Scorecard does not reflect
current, please update the calibration. DO NOT replace the ECM or perform any correlating
diagnostics to fix this.
