EPA 2013 emissions retrofit

Introduction
This program is applicable to Peterbilt vehicles manufactured between April 27, 2012 and October 16, 2012 with 2013 EPA compliant
emission components. This bulletin provides administrative directions to assist with retrofit of engine and emission related preproduction parts with current production parts on these vehicles. (The chassis list is attached to the bottom of this bulletin.)
Expiration Date: This emission related campaign does not expire.

Warranty
The SIR system will indicate chassis involved in this field repair with the designator “513-3” in the campaign field.
Complete the work identified on the chassis list and file a new truck claim.

HOW TO OBTAIN PARTS FOR THE VEHICLE:
See the attached parts list to determine what parts to order. The parts on this list are available from PACCAR Parts
and will be reimbursed at Dealer Net + 30% markup.
To order parts except for the

Order via normal Dealer Order Entry (DOE)

To order the DPF and SCR

Submit a Support Link case with the subject line
reading “2013 Emission Retrofit”.
Select "I need to place and order", then
Select "Retrofit"
Enter a purchase order # and chassis # into the
body of the supportlink case.

If the chassis-parts list
indicates an engine
replacement

Contact Joe Case at Paccar Technical Center
(360) 757-5297 to coordinate delivery of the
engine. The campaign will provide a handling fee
for the PACCAR MX-13 engine of $1,000.

Parts on the following table need to be returned. All other parts should be discarded.

Labor related to Cummins and PACCAR PX parts is to be filed through Cummins.
The dealer chassis list contains a column (far right) which provides an estimate of labor for each truck.

Procedure
For a Cummins powered vehicle:
Refer to the chassis list to determine what repair will be needed.
Identify what parts will be involved in the repair.
Place orders with PACCAR Parts for all parts shown on the parts list.
Please contact the following people and inform them when the repair is scheduled. Please have chassis number, your location,
your contact information, and the date of the scheduled repair available when making contact.
Proceed with the repair and file the vehicle parts and labor claim to Peterbilt.
File any labor claims, for Cummins and PACCAR PX engine parts, through Cummins.

delivery of the customer’s vehicle and the engine.
Refer to the chassis list to determine what repair will be needed.
Identify what parts will be involved in the repair.
Place orders with PACCAR Parts for all parts shown on the parts list.
Complete the repair once all parts, engine and vehicle are available at your location.
Once repairs are complete, file parts and labor claim to Peterbilt.

that will be contacted by Peterbilt Division Engineering to coordinate those repairs.
