DART CONNECTOR LABEL REWORK
Prepared by:
Brian Beyerle
Engineer
Nic Rucker
Field Service Technical Rep.
(256)499-5433
Approved By: Dan Allen- Chief Engineer
Property and Top Bus Number: DART NABI 40LFW bus numbers 39001 through 39119
Issue:
Wiring Harnesses are not labeled.
Reason/ cause:
No identifying labels were applied to the harnesses at the time of assembly.
Solution:
Apply labels to harnesses per the instructions below.
Number of affected buses:
Estimate repair hours/bus:
119 — buses 39001 ~ 39119
4 hours
Necessary parts: None.
Necessary tools: None.
Instructions:
Inspect each section and apply labels as indicated in each of the photographs below. Buses 3900180 will need all of the labels; buses 39081-119 will not need all labels, but each area should be
checked to ensure labels are present.
The label will be placed on the drop, near the connector, in such a way as to identify the connector
when connected, but to leave enough room to allow the connector to be re-terminated twice without
interfering with the label. Where two or more connectors exit a drop, the wire(s) for each connector
should be grouped together and the label placed over the grouped wires, close to the exit point from
the drop.
There are no text style or text height requirements other than that the label must be legible. The label
must have a clear protective cover to protect against dirt such as clear heat shrink or clear tape. A
table of all the required labels is attached on the last two pages of this bulletin, for your convenience.
