Issue:
Paint Cracks
Reason/ cause:
The paint is cracking where the tapping plate meets the fiberglass.
Solution:
Grind out the pant at the seams and fill with sikaflex.
Number of affected buses: 390001-39053

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED ACCORDING TO ACCEPTED INDUSTRY
STANDARDS AND LOCAL/PROPERTY REQUIREMENTS.
1. Park the bus and apply the parking brake.
2. Turn off main battery disconnect switch(es).
3. On the S/S side remove the mirror by loosening the two 7/16 bolts and lifting up on the mirror
and remove it. Unplug the mirror and put to the side to be put back later.
Tape off
and sand as
shown
4. Clean with Denatured Alcohol. Let stand for one minute. Fill with sika smooth off and let set for
one hour.

Put the mirror back. Check to see if the mirror is working.
Check for completeness of work.
Remove all tools from working area.
Turn the main battery disconnect switch(es) on.
