SAFETY PRECAUTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED ACCORDING TO ACCEPTED INDUSTRY
STANDARDS AND LOCAL/PROPERTY REQUIREMENTS.
1. Park the bus and apply the parking brake.
2. Shut off the batteries using the battery disconnect switch.
3. Locate and open the fuel tank inspection cover (see below).
4. Remove the four screws that fasten the PRV shroud to the existing PRV valve (see below),
discard screws, lock washers and shroud.

5. Remove the five screws that fasten the existing PRV valve to the fuel tank flange (see below).
and discard the removed PRV valve and gasket (screws and lock washers will be used later in
this work instruction).
6. Clean the fuel tank flange surface (see below), be careful not allow debris to enter the fuel tank
while cleaning surface.

7. Install new gasket (PN 801516) and adapter plate (PN 801515) to the fuel tank flange using
the hardware removed in step 5 and tighten hardware securely (see below).
8. Install new gasket (PN 408098) and new PRV valve (PN 492745) using screws and lock
washers provided (PN 406626 and 470083) to the adapter previously installed in step 7.
Tighten hardware securely (see below).

9. Install new PRV shroud (PN 492745) with o-ring (PN 298828) using the screws and lock
washers provided (PN 406626 & 470083). Tighten the hardware securely (see below).
10. Remove any debris caused by performing this retrofit.
11. Reinstall the fuel tank inspection cover.
