If an oil leak is present at the breather oil
return pipe (P/N 62018025573), replace pipe in accordance with service procedures outlined in
EGES-415, MaxxForce 11 and 13 Liter Engine service manual.
1. Remove the Boost Control solenoid (Figure2, Item 2) and Exhaust Valve Brake Retarder controller (Figure 2,
Item 1) from mounting bracket by removing the two mounting bolts on each component; leave the air lines and
electrical installed and pull the component back for access.

2. Remove the bolt retaining the coolant “T” to the bracket (Figure 3, Item 1)
3. Remove the two mounting bolts (Figure 3, Item 2) from the bracket and discard the bracket (re-use bolts for
reassembly).

Install – Revised Boost Control Solenoid Bracket
1. Install bracket 3005045C1 (Figure 4, Item 2) and mounting bolts; torque to standard torque.
2. Reinstall the Boost Control Solenoid and Exhaust Valve Retarder Controller; torque to standard torque.
3. Install P-clamp (Figure 4, Item 1) 299277C91 around lower coolant return hose and secure to bracket using bolt
removed from coolant ‘T’
