Adaptable To: The new 20R-1176 Turbocharger
Gp is a direct replacement for the existing 357-2110
Turbocharger Gp and the 20R-0579 Turbocharger
Gp for the serial numbers listed above.
Refer to the tables below for the correct part numbers
needed to make the repair.
Note: Failure to install the new turbocharger drain line
can cause the turbocharger seal to fail and pass oil into the air system.
The new parts listed in the tables are adaptable back
to the first production of the above listed truck engines. The change is effective at the factory with the
truck engine serial numbers LEE24965-Up.

Truck Engines”. Disregard this article. See the article
that follows. Two part numbers have changed. 10R6991 was changed to 10R-6691 and 10R-6992 was
changed to 10R-6692.
■
The Variable Valve Actuator (VVA) assembly should
be replaced when the engine is being overhauled.
Replacing the VVA assembly eliminates soot buildup
and reduces wear on internal components. The OnHighway truck engines that are using Overhaul Protection for Truck (OPT) are now required to replace
VVA assembly during overhaul.
Refer to the table below to match the correct serial
number prefix to the corresponding part number.
