PROCEDURE:
1. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “OFF” position.
2. Flip the side facing seat up to access the wheelchair stop request button on the bottom of the seat.
3. Remove the existing stop request button from the seat, disconnect it from the harness and discard it.
4. Strip the ends of the two wires on the new slap pad (NF PN 6399941).
5. Place terminal seals (NF PN 108872) on the wires and crimp two sockets (NF PN 108874) to them.
6. Populate the supplied Weatherpack tower connector (NF PN 104559) with the two wires from the slap pad.
The slap pad is not polarity sensitive so either wire may be inserted into either position of the connector.
7. Plug the slap pad to the harness in the flip up seat.
8. Center the slap pad over the existing hole from the previous stop request button and mark the location of the
four corner mounting holes on the seat bottom. Drill 5/32 inch holes in the locations marked.
9. Secure the slap pad to the bottom of the seat using four #10-32 x ¾ inch self tapping screws (NF PN
36S00012) in the holes drilled in the previous step. Ensure the harness does not get pinched during this
process.
10. Repeat steps 2 through 9 for the side facing flip up seat on the other side of the bus.
11. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “ON” position.
