TITLE: Baseline 611 Overview

PURPOSE:
Flash reprogramming allows the ECU software to be updated without replacing the ECU. Flash calibration
updates for specific vehicle models/ECUs are released as field-fix procedures described in individual
service bulletins.
This bulletin will be used as a reference guide for technicians to update a vehicle to Baseline 611 by listing
software ID numbers as well as the required flash files necessary to update an ECU. A baseline update
may only require that certain ECUs be updated. Not all ECUs will have updates in a baseline release.
Using this guide, the technician can determine what ECUs have updates and those that do not require it.
CHANGES:
Drivers Information System (DIS) - Update improves the accuracy of range indicator; providing a better
representation of mileage left before refilling the gas tank and/or recharging the battery is necessary.
BL611 also removes unnecessary warning lights from being displayed when the vehicle is transitioned
from OFF to OFF_AWAKE.
Hybrid Control Unit (HCU) - Corrects EV Mode Behavior (Denmark and Norway Only)
