Condition
This Update has been proactively released to prevent the following condition from occurring in the vehicle:
It is possible that the Intake Manifold Flap Actuator may fail on Audi
vehicles with 2.0L.TFSI engines built within a
specific period.
This Update is in effect until removed.
Vehicle must meet all of the following criteria:
• Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the 24T3 code in the ElsaWeb Campaign/Action Information
screen on the day of repair.
• Vehicle must be within the S342-U14 Intake Manifold RC Motor Warranty Extension.
• Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical Service Bulletin.
• Procedure must be performed on applicable vehicles in dealer inventory prior to sale.
Technical Background
It is possible that the intake manifold flap actuator may fail on Audi
vehicles with 2.0L. TFSI engines built within a
specific period.

1. Carefully pull off engine cover
panel at positions 1, 2, 3, and
then 4 one after the other
(Figure 1).
Tip: It is important to
keep to this sequence;
otherwise, the engine cover
panel can be damaged.

Tip: Do not jerk the cover
panel away, and do not try to
pull on one side only.

work is required.
