Kenworth has developed an improved oil filter cap lock system and campaign E046 replaces original style cap
version.
Chassis Affected
Identified T660s, T700s, T800s and W900s built between 05/20/09 – 11/15/11 and equipped with original style
locks. The attached list includes chassis with original style cap locks installed at the Kenworth factory and chas
cap locks were installed by dealers as part of an E026R campaign repair (identified from warranty claims filed).
instructions, for chassis with no cap lock system installed at all, are being updated so that future repairs in that
updated cap lock system described in the Procedure section of this bulletin.

For chassis with the aluminum lock device, part number 1871869PE, replace part per E046 Procedure.pd
For chassis that already have new style lock device, kit number STD1534PE, no repair is necessary.
For chassis that have no locking device at all, repair per Recall bulletin E026R (DealerNet, Warranty tab,
item, Federal Recall Information).
