DESCRIPTION
On vehicles equipped with feature code 0008TTH, AUX. TRAILER SOCKET 7-Way; With
Battery Fed Circuit to Center Pin, With 25 Amp Fuse and Relay Controlled by Switch, it is
possible for there to be a condition in which the LED back light on the switch fails in a short
period of time after the switch is replaced.
SERVICE INFORMATION
PREFERRED REPAIR PROCEDURE
The preferred repair to install a 1N4005 diode on wire A72B facing the switch. This will
prevent a voltage spike from being able to damage the LED in the auxiliary switch. Please
see the wiring diagram below.

The alternative repair procedure requires running new wiring to the switch from the relay.
