THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON OUT OF NOWHERE THE CAR WAS NOT IN A WRECK OR ANYTHING OF THAT NATURE. SAME WITH THE BUTTONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. IF YOU USE THE BUTTONS TO CHANGE THE SONG ON THE STEERING WHEEL IT ACTUALLY TURNS RADIO COMPLETELY OFF INSTEAD OF CHANGING THE SONG. AND THAT HAPPENS WITH THE VOLUME BUTTON AS WELL. I'VE ALREADY BEEN TO A MECHANIC AND TOLD THEM THAT I THINK THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE BUT I JUST GET LOOKED AT LIKE I'M CRAZY.

FOR 2-3 WEEKS, THE VEHICLE'S RIDE HAS SHUDDERED AND WOBBLED, FROM 1-70 MPH. THE WOBBLE AFFECT IS PARTICULARLY NOTICEABLE WHEN MAKING TURNS, FROM 5+ DEGREES. THE VEHICLE FEELS AS THOUGH A TIRE HAS BEEN BLOWN, BUT THE TIRE SENSORS DO NOT INDICATE ANY TIRE PRESSURE ISSUES. WE HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE MANUFACTURER'S SERVICE CENTER, THINKING INITIALLY THAT THE PROBLEM WAS DRIVETRAIN RELATED. HOWEVER, THE SERVICE CENTER HAS NOTIFIED US THAT THE PROBLEM LIES WITH BOTH REAR TIRES HAVING ISSUES, BOTH INTERNAL SEPARATION AND INTERNAL BUBBLES. THE SERVICE CENTER HAS NOTIFIED US THAT WE MUST PAY FOR REPLACEMENT OF THESE TIRES, WHICH ARE THE VEHICLE'S ORIGINAL TIRES WITH APROX. 25,000 MILES. ALL RESEARCH WE CAN FIND ON INTERNAL SEPARATION AND INTERNAL BUBBLES INDICATES A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. WE ARE GRATEFUL THE ISSUE WAS DISCOVERED BEFORE AN ACCIDENT OCCURED, BUT WONDER WHY THE CONSUMER IS ASKED TO PAY FOR WHAT APPEARS BY ALL OF OUR RESEARCH TO BE A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT. SHOULDN'T THE VEHICLE'S MANUFACTURER ALSO BE AWARE OF THIS? AND IF SO, WHY WOULD THEY ASK THE PURCHASER OF THE VEHICLE TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A DEFECTIVE PART, WHETHER IT BE THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER'S OR ORIGINAL COMPONENTS PROVIDED BY A 3RD PARTY, SUCH AS THE TIRES? HONESTLY, I FOUND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE CONSIDERING THE COMPANY HAS TWO EXISTING CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS AGAINST THEM IN OTHER STATES FOR THE SAME ISSUE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT BEFORE, AND HAVE HEARD OF COMPETITORS WITH THE SAME ISSUE ACTUALLY DOING A RECALL ON THEIR VEHICLES. DRIVING ALONG A HIGHWAY HOLDING STEADY SPEED OF 65MPH, THE CAR DISPLAYED A "STOP SAFELY NOW" MESSAGE AND DISABLED THE ACCELERATOR. WE WERE ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CAR WOULD TURN ON AND OFF WITH THE PUSH OF THE ON/OFF BUTTON, BUT THE "STOP SAFELY NOW" MESSAGE REMAINED ON THE DASHBOARD ANY TIME THE CAR WAS POWERED ON, AND THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. WE CALLED FORD AS WE ARE STILL UNDER WARRANTY; HOWEVER, A TOW TRUCK WOULD HAVE TAKEN APPROX 90 MINUTES, AND I WAS NOT IN A SAFE POSITION, SO I USED A OBDII SCANNER AND APP TO RESET THE FAULT CODES. AFTER THAT THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME WE HAVE SEEN THIS ERROR IN THE LAST 18 MONTHS; HOWEVER, THE LAST TIME WAS APPROXIMATELY A YEAR AGO.

MY 2014 2.4L JEEP CHEROKEE IS SHIFTING OUT OF GEAR WHEN MAKING A TURN AND LOOSES POWER. WHEN IT SHIFTS OUT OF GEAR (OR INTO NEUTRAL) THE GEAR SHIFT LIGHT WILL COME ON. THE GEAR SHIFTIER WILL NOT HAVE MOVED AND STILL BE IN DRIVE! ENGINE HAS TO BE SHUT OFF AND THEN I HAVE TO TRY ABOUT THREE TIME TO GET IT TO START AGAIN, AND IT WILL NOT START UP LIKE NORMAL. IT STARTS UP LIKE IT IS TRYING TO GET THE ENGINE MOTIVATED INTO MOVEMENT. WHEN I AM ABLE TO RESTART THE JEEP THE GEAR SHIFT LIGHT WILL NO LONGER BE ON. IT IS THE SECOND TIME TO HAPPEN IN A WEEK.
