Summary of Complaint
VEHICLE RANDOMLY WILL NOT START. EVERYTHING (LIGHTS, AIR, RADIO) WORKS EXCEPT IT WILL NOT START, MAKES A CLICKING NOISE BUT WILL NOT TURN OVER. WE HAVE PAID DODGE OVER 300 DOLLARS TO HAVE THIS ISSUE FIXED BUT IT KEEPS REOCCURING. FIRST TIME WE HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED THEY SAID IT WAS A SOFTWARE ISSUE AND BAD BATTERY. WE PAID FOR THAT AND NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER I WAS STRANDED OUT OF TOWN AT NIGHT WITH MY CHILDREN. DODGE HAD IT TOWED THR NEXT MORNING AND COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE ISSUE. WE HAVE SINCE HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED 2 OTHER TIMES BACK TO DODGE AND THEY HAVE FIXED THE STARTER AND ON THE LAST OCCASION THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG. ONCE WE HAD THE BATTERY JUMPED TO GET IT STARTED AND IT IS A BRAND NEW BATTERY, HOWEVER THAT DOESNT ALWAYS WORK. WE ARE STILL DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE. WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL FOR BAD IGNITION AND KEY ISSUES IN MAY AND WE STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET IT FIXED. WE WERE TOLD BY DODGE THAT WE WOULD BE PUT ON A WAITING LIST FOR PARTS AND IT COULD BE MONTHS AS THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING THR SAME ISSUES AND NOT ENOUGH PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE. NO, I DIDN'T CRASH BUT IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN YOU ARE STRANDED FAR AWAY FROM HOME AND NOONE CAN HELP YOU. IT IS EXPENSIVE WHEN I END UP HAVING TO PAY 100'S OF DOLLARS I'M TOWING. IF YOU GOOGLE THE ISSUE THERE ARE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME ISSUE AND DODGE KEEPS SAYING TO EVERYONE THAT THEY CAN NOT IDENTIFY THE ISSUE.
