Summary of Complaint
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS. AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE CRUISE CONTROL LIGHT WAS ON BUT DID NOT ENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM. THE CONTACT SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE CRUISE CONTROL LIGHT STAYED ON. THE CONTACT HAS NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. NO FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,800. UPDATED 03/14/10 *BF THE CRUISE CONTROL LIGHT ILLUMINATED. IT WOULD NOT TURN OFF WHEN THE CONSUMER DEPRESSED THE BUTTON. HOWEVER, WHEN HE SHUT THE ENGINE OFF AND TURNED IT ON AGAIN, THE CRUISE CONTROL LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO FIND ANY PROBLEMS. UPDATED 05/10/10*JB
