PLEASE CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION, WWW.NHTSA.DOT.GOV SENT: SUNDAY, JUNE 17, 2007 10:54 PM TIRES MANUFACTURED BY VOGUE TIRE /RUBBER CO, MT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS ,60056 (800) 323 - 1466/EX. 405. FOUR VOGUE/GOODYEAR
TIRES WITH 9/32NDS TREAD WEAR/MANUFACTURED SOMETIMES AFTER 1998 PROBLEM EXISTS WITH TREAD WEAR/DRY ROT, TIRE TREAD SPLITTING. JIM HORDAN REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT & KEN GOYAK, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT ADVISED VOGUE TIRES ONLY HAD A FIVE YEAR LIFE EXPECTANCY, AND AFTER FIVE YEARS TIRES MANUFACTURED BY VOGUE HAVE NO PRODUCT DEFECT WARRANTY. I DISAGREE WITH VOGUE'S CLAIM THEY WERE OBLIGATED TO HONOR A FULL REPLACEMENT WARRANTY OBLIGATION AT ANY TIME IF A MANUFACTURING FLAW DISCOVERED IN A TIRE PRODUCTION EXPOSED THE CONSUMER POPULATION TO LOSS OF LIFE OR INJURY. SINCE VOGUE HAS REFUSED TO HONOR THEIR WARRANTY OBLIGATION I WILL BE REPLACING THE VOGUE TIRES I OWN WITH ANOTHER BRAND TIRE, ND I WOULD LIKE TO ARRANGE FOR THE DELIVERY OF THE TIRES I NOW OWN TO A NHSTB LOCAL OFFICE IN THE BOYNTON BEACH AREA SO THEY COULD BE EXAMINED , AND HAVE A TREAD RUN OUT TEST BE PERFORMED TO CONFIRM THE OPINION OF TWO GOODYEAR TIRE DEALERSHIPS THAT THE VOGUE TIRES I WANT TO DELIVER WERE DUE TO MANUFACTURING PROBLEM. FURTHER, IF AS THE VOGUE TIRE EXECUTIVES REFERENCED IN THIS E-MAIL HAVE STATED, THE E TIRE SHOULD NOT HAVE REMAINED IN SERVICE AFTER A FIVE YEAR TERM, MUST NOT THIS CONDITION BE BROADCAST FOR ALL TIRES THAT BEAR THE SAME SERIAL NUMBER BE SO ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF TIRES LIKE MINE HAVING A POSSIBLE MANUFACTURING PROBLEM? WAIT TO HEAR FROM YOU AS TO THE APPROPRIATE COURSE OF ACTION I MUST FOLLOW IN HAVNG YOUR AGENCY INVESTIGATE MY COMPLAINED. THEREAFTER, TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION WHICH WOULD APPEAR TO BE A TIRE RECALL PROGRAM AS YOUR AGENCY DEEMS APPROPRIATE. *AK
