Summary of Complaint
DT: CONSUMER STATES THAT THE OWNERS WERE TRAVELING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND THE MOTOR HOME WOULD DIE. THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING WITH NO CAUTION OR TAIL LIGHTS. THIS HAPPENED AT NIGHT WHEN IT WAS HARD TO SEE ANYTHING. THE OWNER FEARED FOR THEIR LIVES BECAUSE NO OTHER VEHICLES COULD SEE THEM AT NIGHT. THE OWNERS WERE TRAVELING AT 60-65 MPH WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE PROBLEM HAPPENED ABOUT 30 TIMES THAT NIGHT. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START BACK AFTER THIS HAPPENED. THE VEHICLE WAS HARD TO GET BACK INTO NEUTRAL; WITH NO ELECTRIC THE OWNER WAS NOT ABLE TO GET THE MOTOR HOME INTO NEUTRAL EASILY. THERE WERE WIRES AND CABLES LOOSE. THE OWNERS HAVE TAKEN MOTOR HOME TO CERTIFIED CUMMINGS MOTOR REPAIR SHOP. THE REPAIR FACILITY TOLD THE OWNERS THAT THEY FOUND A 434 CODE, WHICH MEANS THE VEHICLE LOST POWER WHILE RUNNING AND DATA ERRATIC AND INTERMITTENT, FOUND LOOSE WIRING IN COMPARTMENT AT REAR, TIGHTENED NET WIRING. THE DEALERSHIP FOUND ONE PLUG IN NOT PLUGGED ALL THE WAY IN TO THE ECU. THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED THE OWNER THAT THIS WAS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. THE DEALERSHIP ONLY DEALS WITH THE COACH PART. THE OWNER HAS TALKED TO THE MANUFACTURER COACHMAN AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY THAT IS WAS FREIGHTLINERS RESPONSIBILITY. THIS IS ON A FREIGHTLINER
CHASSIS. *NM WHILE DRIVING IN HEAVY RAIN THE NUT THAT HOLDS THE WINDSHIELD WIPER ON FELL OFF AND CAUSED THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER TO FALL OFF.
