FRESCO WINDOW SLIDER TAB REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove any bamboo shelves or other items located in the shower area.
2. Using a flat head screwdriver or hook tool, remove the 4 retainer caps in the back wall of the shower
area. (Figure 1)
i. Note: This will help allow for more access to work on the window.

3. Open the window slightly, using the wall switch to allow access to the screws.
4. Remove all visible screws.
i. Note: There are 2 screws on the right hand side that will remain in the window. These
are holding the Window screen catch in place. (Figure 2)

5. Open the window again slightly, using the wall switch. The window handle should now be fully open.
You will need to remove 4 more screws that are now visible with the window handle open. (Figure 3)

6. With all the fasteners removed, you will need to remove the clips between the window and corner
trims. Insert the hook tool in the clips and remove from both the top and bottom of the window.
(Figure 4)
i. Note: You will not be able to see the clips visually but will be able to locate them with
the hook tool.

7. With the clips removed you will be able to free the window from the L Trim and handle. You can
separate the slider from the slide components by holding onto the slider using the hook tool and
moving them rear ward. (Figure 5)

8. You can use the wall switch to operate and open the window further. This will give you clearance to
be able to remove the window from the track. (Figure 6)
i. Note: It is CRITICAL, that the window be guided on the bottom portion, by the hook
tool, while operating without fasteners (opening and closing). This will ensure the
window stays in sync. Failure to do so, could result in the window coming out of sync
and causing further damage to the window or the window assembly.

9. Once the window is able to clear the frame, pull the window towards you to free it from the frame.
i. Note: Store the window in a secure location so it does not get damaged during the
repair and install.
10. With the window removed, inspect the upper and lower tracks and remove any broken components,
parts, or debris that may be obstructing them. Use the hook tool to go through the tracks to verify
there is no debris. (Figure 7)
i. Note: Debris left in the tracks could result in the replacement components being
damaged or broken upon install and operation.

11. Insert the replacement slider tabs for the window in the top and
bottom tracks. (Figure 8)

12. Reinsert the window into the frame and align with the mechanism and new slider tabs. (Figure 9)

13. Use the wall switch to close the window fully.
i. Note: Make sure to guide the window back in via the handle during the first closing
operation.

14. With the window closed, use a 1/16” drill bit to go through the screw holes.
i. Note: This will ensure the pilot holes in the frame and slider tabs are aligned.
15. Reinstall all visible fasteners into the window trim and sliders.
i. Note: It is CRITICAL the window is fully closed prior to installing any of the fasteners.

16. Slightly re-open the window so the handle pops open. (Figure 10)

17. Use a 1/16” drill bit to go through the now visible pilot holes.
18. Re-secure the final 4 screws below the handle. (Figure 3 - Above)
19. Fully close window.
