THE REAR SEATBELT BUCKLES APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN INSTALLED IMPROPERLY AT THE FACTORY. ONE OF THE BUCKLES IS FORCED UP BY THE BOLT SPRING WHILE THE OTHER TWO ARE FORCED DOWN. THE TWO THAT ARE FORCED DOWN MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR REAR SEAT PASSENGERS TO BUCKLE IN. FURTHERMORE, WHEN THE SEAT BACK IS FOLDED DOWN, THE TWO SEATBELT BUCKLES TEND TO BE FORCED UNDER THE SEAT. I HAVE A 2015 CHEROKEE TRAILHAWK 3.6L V6 LOVE IT EXCEPT FOR THE ISSUES. THIS IS MY VERY FIRST AND VERY LAST FCA JEEP PRODUCT I WILL OWN UNLESS THIS VEHICLE SOMEHOW BECOMES RELIABLE. AT 3,860 MILES WHILE DRIVING MY POWER WINDOWS FAILED IT WILL NOT GO UP OR DOWN AND MY BLIND SPOT MONITOR WHICH I PAID EXTRA FOR AND DEPEND ON FOR ADDED SAFETY FAILED AT THE SAME TIME. I WAS HEADING TO WORK AND MY WINDOWS WILL NOT OPERATE AND IS STUCK IN THE DOWN POSITION IN A PARKING LOT FOR 8 HOURS HOPING NO ONE WOULD TRY TO BREAK IN MY CAR. NOW MY VEHICLE IS AT 13,600 MILE AND I'M STARTING TO EXPERIENCE ALL THE OTHER OWNERS TRANSMISSION FAILURE ISSUES, BUT MINE HAVEN'T HAPPEN ENOUGH FOR THE DEALER TO ATTEMPT TO FIX IT. WHILE DRIVING, THE TRANSMISSION WILL GET STUCK IN A LOW GEAR AND WILL NOT CHANGE EVEN AFTER HEAVY ACCELERATION AND THEN AFTER ABOUT 6 SECONDS IT WILL SUDDENLY CHANGE AND LUNGE FORWARD. OTHER TIMES THE TRANSMISSION WILL GET STUCK IN A HIGH GEAR AND WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE IT WILL NOT DROP A GEAR TO ACCELERATE AND MY WIFE AVOID HIGHWAYS BECAUSE SHE IS AFRAID THE VEHICLE WILL STALL ON AN ENTRANCE RAMP WHILE MERGING. ANOTHER ISSUE IS WHEN REVERSING FROM A COLD START AND THEN PUTTING THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE THE VEHICLE SEEMS TO GET STUCK IN EITHER NEUTRAL OR REVERSE BECAUSE IT WILL NOT GO FORWARD UNTIL I REALLY PUNCH THE ACCELERATOR AND THEN IT WILL LUNG FORWARD. MY LAST COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS VEHICLE IS MINOR BUT STILL AND ISSUE. THE POWER LIFT GATE WILL SOMETIMES GET STUCK AND NOT OPEN UNTIL I TRY IT A FEW TIMES.

(50 MPH SPEED LIMIT). I "LIMPED" HOME AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK TO HAVE IT TOWED TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN BASED ON THE "SYMPTOMS" I TOLD HIM THAT IT WAS THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY AND THAT THEY'VE HAVE A LOT OF 2016 EXPLORERS COME IN WITH THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND THAT FORD IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. REALLY? FORD IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT REFUSES TO ISSUE A RECALL!!! GUESS IT'S ALL ABOUT THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR TO THEM. I THANK GOD THIS HAPPENED TO ME ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND NOT DURING THE WEEK WHEN I'M ON BUSY LOS ANGELES FREEWAYS! THEY SAY THEY ARE ONLY REPLACING INFLATORS. I DON'T NEED AN INFLATOR BECAUSE MINE ALREADY IMPROPERLY INFLATED! BECAUSE THE INFLATOR WAS DEFECTIVE, NOW I HAVE NO AIRBAGS! BECAUSE I COULD NOT GET THE INFLATOR REPLACED, I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE NEW AIRBAGS INSTALLED. I DO NOT THINK THAT IS RIGHT. THERE ARE TWO RECALLS OPEN FOR MY VEHICLE AND FOR NONE THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE IN ANY DEALER. MY MAZDA 6 2010 HAS A PASSENGER AIR BAG INFLATOR RECALL AND A MELTER DASHBOARD RECALL. BOTH CREATE SAFETY HAZARDS FOR ME AND MY FAMILY YET THE MELTED DASHBOARD HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR OVER TWO YEARS AND I AM STILL AWAITING FROM MAZDA THE SECOND LETTER THEY PROMISED TO SEND ME TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO REPAIR. THE RUBBER OR PLASTIC THAT IS MELTING IS CONVERTING INTO A GLUE LIKE SUBSTANCE THAT GETS ON MY CLOTH SEATS AND WORST OF ALL, IN MY WINDSHIELD WHICH CAUSES GLARE AND DISRUPTS MY VISION. I END UP HAVING TO REMOVE IT WITH OTHER MATERIAL THAT CAUSES MY WINDSHIELD TO BECOME STICKY. THE MATERIAL ENDS UP IN MY STEERING WHEEL RESULTING IN ADDITIONAL SAFETY ISSUES. I HAVE TRIED TO SELL THE CAR BUT NO ONE WILL BUY IT IN THAT CONDITION. I HAVE BEEN PATIENT FOR TWO YEARS BUT AT THIS POINT IT IS UNREASONABLE THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT I HAD TO WAIT. I OWN ANOTHER MAZDA BUT FORTUNATELY IT HAS NOT HAD SIMILAR ISSUES. THE SITUATION IS ABUSIVE AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED ALREADY. IF MAZDA CANNOT FIX IT IN A TIMELY MANNER THEY SHOULD BE PROVIDING A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE TEMPORARILY DUE TO THE SAFETY CONCERNS. I JUST CONTACTED OCEAN MAZDA IN MIAMI AND THE SERVICE DEPT. CONFIRMS THAT THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS FOR BOTH RECALLS. IT IS INSULTING! I AM SENDING AN EMAIL FLASH TO 21,000 + SERVICE PROVIDERS THAT THE COMPANY THAT I WORK FOR HAS IN THEIR DATA BASE SO THAT THEY BECOME AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND STAY AWAY FROM MAZDA AND THEIR VEHICLES.
