Issue: Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit all of the following conditions:
• Lack of air flow from inoperative blower motor
• Open or damaged fuse F10 in the BJB
This may be due to a damaged fuse F10 (40A) in the BJB
Action: For vehicles that meet all of the criteria in the Issue and Model statements, follow the Service Procedure to
replace the fuse F10 (position 7 in the BJB) and if necessary, replace the BJB harness.

Description

Service part numbers and "number in package" quantity may change after publication, thus also affecting the

Claim Quantity refers to the total number of individual pieces required to repair the vehicle.
Package Order Quantity refers to the amount of the service part number package(s) required to repair the vehicle.
Number In Package refers to the number of individual pieces included in a service part number package.
Only If Necessary indicates the part is not mandatory. Refer to the Service Procedure to determine the
inspection/inclusion criteria.
Warranty Status: Eligible under provisions of New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW)/Service Part Warranty
(SPW)/Service Part New Vehicle (SPNV)/Extended Service Plan (ESP) coverage. Limits/policies/prior approvals are
not altered by a TSB. NVLW/SPW/SPNV/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and
verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.

Service Procedure
1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to WSM, Section 414-01.
2. Remove the BJB cover.
3. Inspect the BJB F10 socket cavity for signs of damage. (Figure 1) Is any sign of damage present?

(1). Yes - remove the BJB. Refer to WSM, Section 414-01 > Removal and Installation > Battery Cables - 3.5L
Duratec/3.5L EcoBoost > only perform Step 22 to 24. Proceed to Step 4.
(2). No - proceed to Step 6.

4. Inspect connector C1035B of the BJB. Is the connector damaged? See Figure 2 for example.

(1). Yes - replace the 14401 harness. Proceed to Step 5.
(2). No - proceed to Step 5.
5. Replace the BJB reversing the removal procedure.
6. Remove fuse F10 and replace with the listed service replacement part.
7. Install the BJB cover.
