Tundra/Sequoia Remote Engine Start - Main Wiring Harness
If you are a dealer outside of the SET region, please contact the SET accessory department at
(888) 851-2722 or email [email protected].
Inspection Procedure
1. Inspect remote engine start accessory connections to vehicle wiring harness. Check the
T-Taps in the passenger side kick panel to ensure they have a good connection.
Reference the appropriate section below for the correct vehicle. Repair any connections
of IMI or IMO circuits suspected of causing loose connection by removing the T-Taps
and soldering the connection.
NOTE: Exercise care when servicing any wires with black t-taps connected to them.
These wires are extremely fragile and may break easily with excessive manipulation.
2013 TUNDRA:
RES System GREEN wire connects to vehicle IMO circuit at connector AJ5, Pin 15,
PINK wire.
RES System VIOLET wire connects to vehicle IMI circuit at connector AJ5 (rear/female
side of connector). This terminal is removed from connector AJ5, Pin 14 YELLOW wire
during installation.
RES System VIOLET/WHITE wire connectors to vehicle IMI circuit at (front/male side of)
connector AJ5, Pin 14 BLACK wire.

wire.
RES System VIOLET wire connects to vehicle IMI circuit at connector AJ5 (rear/female
side of connector). This terminal is removed from connector AJ5, Pin 1, YELLOW wire
during installation.
RES System VIOLET/WHITE wire connectos to vehicle IMI circuit at (front/male side of)
connector AJ5, Pin 1, BLACK wire.
2013-2014 SEQUOIA:
RES System GREEN wire connects to vehicle IMO circuit at connector AH5, Pin 15,
PINK wire.
RES System VIOLET wire connects to vehicle IMI circuit at connector AH5 (rear/female
side of connector). This terminal is removed from connector AH5, Pin 14 YELLOW
wire during installation.
RES System VIOLET/WHITE wire connectos to vehicle IMI circuit at (front/male side of)
connector AH5, Pin 14 BLACK wire.
2. Inspect resistance of SET remote engine start harness. Using a DVOM, check continuity
from the spade connector of the VIOLET/WHITE wire at T-tap connection on vehicle’s
IMI wire (Connector AJ5 or AH5 referenced above) to the VIOLET/WHITE wire in Pin 2
of the 3 pin connector at Remote Engine Start system Immobilizer Interface Module. The
Immobilizer Interface Module is located behind the driver’s side lower instrument panel
to the left of the steering column.

SET Remote Engine Start- No Start B279A
NOTE: It may be necessary to manipulate the harness approximately 3 inches from
where the smaller portion of the harness branches off from the larger trunk of the
harness (pictured above) or operate the tilt/telescope steerng column while testing
continuity if the no start condition is intermittent.
If Resistance is greater than 10 Ohms, Replace Remote Engine Start main
harness.
Repair Procedure
1. Repair any connections of IMI or IMO circuits at AJ5 or AH5 connections suspected of
causing loose connection by removing the T-Taps and soldering the connection.
2. Refer to the SET Remote Start System installation manual on TIS for the respective
vehicle for correct wire routing and connection information.
Note: Reprogramming the Main Control Module or the Immobilizer Interface Module is
not necessary for this repair.
3. Verify the vehicle starts correctly with the vehicle’s key.
