EBB-80 box for upfit, model years 2011 through 2016 inclusive
Background
A ramp stabilization plate and transition piece is now available for retrofit to fielded ramp assemblies on the EBB-80
system. These parts will improve the ramp structure stability when deployed on uneven surfaces. The kit part number
is 65329.100. Installation instructions for retrofit follow:

Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle’s engine battery. Caution: Insure the transmission is in park
and the parking brake is set before attempting ramp work.
2. Slide out the access ramp to expose the rollers. Remove the two L-shaped stops and discard, as they will be
replaced. With the help of an assistant, remove ramp and move to a suitable work surface. Refer below to
illustration 1.
3. Remove the mid-mounted set of rollers. Refer to Illustrations 1 and 2.

4. Locate the Ramp Latch as depicted in Illustrations 3 and 4 below. Carefully position part according to illustration
dimension. Clamp in place, and use part as a drill template. Drill eight (8) holes through ramp with drill and ¼”
twist drill bit.
5. Fasten Ramp Latch with ¼-20 hardware supplied with kit. Insure button heads are on the top side.

6. Locate the Ramp Catch as depicted below in Illustrations 5 and 6. Position part on rear van body frame channel
as shown, using the depicted dimension for location. Use the part as a drill template and drill holes through the
channel using a 3/8” drill.

7. With the help of an assistant, replace ramp in channel. With the ramp positioned for best clearance replace
ramp stops supplied from the retrofit kit. Illustration 7.

8. When all parts have been reinstalled, deploy and stow ramp several times to insure smooth operation without
binding or objectionable force. After ramp is tested, the negative cable of the vehicle’s battery may be
reconnected and equipment may be placed back into service.
